Hi, I’m Bridget Barnett—a Hong Kong-based freelance writer, copywriter, editor, and content consultant working across fashion, beauty, and lifestyle.
I help brands plan and produce content across digital and print, including content strategy, editorial calendar planning, visual-led storytelling, brand copy, editorial features, creative campaign messaging, product packaging, press materials, and books.
My background includes extensive in-house and freelance work with The Lane Crawford Joyce Group, including retailers Lane Crawford and JOYCE Boutique, alongside ongoing freelance work as an Editor at Fifth Black, the creative publishing arm of Design Anthology. Through Fifth Black, I currently develop editorial content for Pacific Place, with past projects including DFS. My work also includes copywriting several books for Fashionary.
Within brand-commissioned editorial contexts, my work includes interviews with founders, creative directors, and senior leadership from GANNI, Gabriela Hearst, Tibi, Linda Farrow, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, and Jimmy Choo. Separately, my independent editorial writing has appeared in titles such as South China Morning Post and Vogue Hong Kong.
I have also produced brand-led advertorial content for Tatler Hong Kong and Tatler Asia across print and digital, writing on behalf of luxury houses including Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Loro Piana, Brunello Cucinelli, and Delvaux; fine jewellery and watch maisons such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, De Beers, and Hublot; as well as beauty and lifestyle brands including La Mer, Clé de Peau Beauté, Estée Lauder, and TUMI.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications (International Journalism and Public Relations) from the University of Queensland and a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Essex.
